A leading manufacturing/food processing company in East Trinidad is seeking an experienced and qualified individual to fill the position of Purchasing Officer. The incumbent will negotiate with vendors and buy materials, goods, and services on behalf of the company to be used in their daily operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate products and potential International and Local Suppliers.
- Develop and maintain physical and digital inventory systems.
- Ensure a cost-effective, timely, continuous supply of goods and services to the Operations.
- Performs any other job-related duties as may be required from time to time
Qualifications and Experience
- Five (5) CXC passes inclusive of Maths and English
- Degree in Procurement/Logistics and/or at least 3 years experience in similar position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Vehicle knowledge will be an asset
