Provide accounting support to the Finance Manager, undertake various accounting tasks and assist with other Administrative matters that may arise.     

Duties & Responsibilities

·          Maintenance of accounting records and software

·          Maintenance of Financial Data, Statistics and related information

·          Preparation of VAT Returns and Payments (Bi-Monthly)

·          Preparation of Quarterly Taxes and Payments

·          Handle cash sales and prepare sales invoices if and when required.

·          Follow-up on receivables and prepare receipts for all incoming payments from customers.

·          Data entry in Account Edge, including, purchases journal, payment journal, Sales journal and receipt journal. Enter general journals as and when requested by the Accountant.

·          Prepare Revenue reports on a monthly and / or yearly basis as and when required for management.

·          Assist Managing Director with data for budget preparation and to provide information when there are any price adjustments.

·          Assist with Net banking/E-Banking transactions.

·          Assist with stock taking.

·          To Prepare monthly commissions, by retrieving all sales and receipts reports from Account Edge by the 19th of each month.

·          Prepare payment vouchers and cheques. Update payables file for review with the Accountant.

·          To complete ALL Bank Reconciliations by the 3rd working day of the month and ensure an error free report.

·          Assist with data for Credit Application Forms.

·          Update product prices in Account Edge when required.

·          Maintain supplier relations with key suppliers to ensure the timely payment of outstanding amounts.

·          Issue and maintain petty cash float and prepare petty cash reimbursement

·          Prepare Bank Deposits

·          Assist Sales Department with preparation/accessing information for sales reports.

·          Assist Production in entering data for raw materials in Account Edge, when required.

·          Filing of all relevant documents pertaining to duties.

·          Miscellaneous duties, as and when required by Management

 Qualifications and Experience

·       Professional Accounting accreditation such as ACCA level 2 or equivalent

·       3 years relevant accounting experience

·       Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards

·       Working Knowledge of Microsoft applications

·       Working knowledge of Account Edge will be an asset

·       Experience in the Manufacturing Sector will be an asset

·       Good organisation skills and multitasking ability

·       Must be flexible, honest and reliable

·       Deadline driven with attention to details

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
