Primary Responsibilities:
• Daily processing of information from Audit Packs – ensuring that information balances. Verification of postings in Operating Software and entry of data of Front Office Takings in excel sheet. Provision of weekly summary excel sheets to Accounting Manager.
• Verification of Direct Bills for onward transmission to Clients.
• Daily processing of information from Restaurants’ Sales Summary Slips. Verification of Sales information (Revenue, VAT, Service Charge, Cash and Point of Sales settlements) with postings in Micros and data entry of information in excel sheet. Provision of weekly summary excel sheets to Accounting Manager.
• Data entry of restaurant checks for Managers’ meals, complimentary items, and staff query items in excel sheet. Verification of data entered matches postings in Opera. Provision of monthly summary to Accounting Manager.
• Data entry of point of sales (POS) transactions from POS terminals at Front Office and Restaurants for monthly submission to Accounting Manager.
• Entering of settlement credit card deposit from bank advisories.
• Tracking of foreign exchange slip for front desk.
• Providing Tip adjustment information for employees in the restaurants to the Accounts Supervisor.
• Conducting spot checks of cash floats, lobby shop, restaurants’ stock and other areas as assigned.
• Process hourly paid payroll and prepare relevant reports on time
• Collect, review, and accurately enter data to maintain and update payroll information.
• Upload batches to bank for payroll.
• Work alongside HR personnel to resolve any payroll issues.
• Prompt and efficient resolution of payroll errors.
• Assist the Accounts Payable Desk e.g. submitting and receiving invoices.
• Removal of depository envelopes from hotel safe in joint custody with another accounts team member for onward submission to Banks.
• Assist with monthly departmental stock count exercises.
• Perform any other duties as required by the Manager / Supervisor.
Working Conditions:
• Largely sedentary role.
• No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., picking up and carrying binders, laptops, files, etc.) may be required.
• Job requires substantial repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and finger.
• May be required to work on a weekend or public holiday on occasion.
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:
• Currently Pursuing ACCA.
• At least five (5) O Level passes including Math, English Language and Principles of Accounts
• At least 2 years’ relevant work experience.
• Working knowledge of the Accounting Software Programmes
• Knowledgeable in Automated Payroll Software Systems e.g. Micro Pay
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
