JOB OVERVIEW:
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for data entry, the processing of payments and supporting the Accounting Officer with the co-coordination of integral financial and regulatory requirements.  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Processing and payments of supplier invoices and payroll.
2. Data entry and system uploads into 4Series.
3. Preparation of monthly invoicing.
4. Preparation of all bank, inter-company and transfer account reconciliations.
5. Preparation on General Ledger schedules.
6. Assisting with the monitoring of loan portfolios.
7. Performing clerical duties such as preparing and mailing out of correspondence and filing.
8. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Accounting Officer.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
• 5 CXC/CSEC Passes including Mathematics and English Language.
• Pursuing Level 1 ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar Accounting position. 
• At least one (1) year experience in the Asset Management industry.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
As a regulated entity with obligations under the Know Your Employee guidelines, a Certificate of Character is required.

The Accounting Assistant must be organized and be able to manage time and resources efficiently. He /She must possess unquestioned integrity and able to work with confidential information.
