This person is responsible for performing day-to-day financial transactions. Requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a clear understanding of accounting principles to ensure timely and efficient processing of vendor/customer invoices and payments. Experience is liaising with customers and employees to ensure smooth running of business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform Data Entry
  • Process, verify and reconcile vendor/customer invoices, PO’s and payment vouchers
  • Reconcile Accounts
  • Prepare Journals
  • Maintain proper filing
  • Assist with Stock Count
  • Assist with answering phone calls and attending to customers
  • Excellent Customer service
  • Experience in Sales an asset
  • Experience in Scheduling
  • Contact clients to confirm jobs and visits
  • Schedule technicians for jobs

 

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Proficient in accounting software: Minimum 3 years’ experience in (Sage, Peachtree,)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial work environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work independently          
  • Work well under pressure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
