Position Summary
Our client, a leading organisation within the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking an experienced API 570 Inspector to support inspection, integrity management, and maintenance activities for piping systems and associated equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections in accordance with API 570 standards, identifying potential integrity concerns, documenting inspection findings, and providing technical recommendations to support the safe and reliable operation of piping systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct inspections of in-service piping systems in accordance with API 570 requirements and applicable industry standards.
· Assess the condition and integrity of piping, components, and associated equipment.
· Perform visual inspections and review inspection data to identify corrosion, erosion, degradation, defects, and other integrity concerns.
· Review piping inspection records, drawings, previous inspection reports, thickness measurements, and other relevant documentation.
· Evaluate inspection findings and make recommendations regarding repairs, replacement, monitoring, or further examination.
· Review and assess corrosion rates, remaining thickness, and remaining service life where applicable.
· Identify and report potential integrity and safety risks.
· Prepare accurate and comprehensive inspection reports and maintain appropriate inspection records.
· Liaise with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and other relevant personnel regarding inspection findings and recommended actions.
· Ensure inspection activities are conducted in accordance with applicable company procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
· Participate in turnaround, shutdown, maintenance, and other inspection activities as required.
· Provide technical input and support on piping integrity and inspection-related matters.
· Maintain a high standard of safety and ensure compliance with site HSE requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
The following requirements are mandatory:
· Valid API 570 certification. A minimum of 5 years API 570 certification.
· Minimum 5 years of prior API 570 post-certification experience.
· Demonstrated experience conducting inspections of in-service piping systems within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, or related process industries.
· Strong knowledge of API 570 inspection requirements and applicable piping integrity practices.
· Valid OEUK is an asset
· Experience interpreting inspection data, identifying degradation mechanisms, and assessing piping integrity.
· Ability to prepare clear and accurate inspection reports and technical documentation.
· Strong understanding of HSE requirements within an Oil & Gas operating environment.
