Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·Cash & Cash Equivalents

 

oPrepare daily bank reconciliations

 

oMonthly reconciliation of credit card accounts

 

oManagement of TTD petty cash

 

oPreparation of weekly deposits

 

·Accounts Payables & Receivables:

 

oProcessing of vendor invoices

 

oGeneral Ledger to Subledger reconciliations

 

oRecording of incoming payments

 

oLiaising with customers regarding outstanding balances

 

·Financial Transaction Processing:

 

oEnter journal entries into the general ledger

 

oReview daily sales, for accuracy ensuring that sales, vat balances, journalize entries

 

oReview and verify monthly credit notes, before entering on the accounting software

 

·Inventory:

 

oCo-ordinate periodic stock counts

 

oInvestigate and resolve discrepancies

 

oGeneral Ledger to Subledger reconciliation

 

oReconciliation of the Good in Transit account

 

·Payroll:

 

oPreparation of wages for casual workers

 

oData entry for monthly payroll processing

 

·Month-End & Year-End Support

 

oPrepare schedules and supporting documents

 

oAssist with financial reports

 

oSupport audit preparation by gathering necessary documentation

 

·Statutory Requirements:

 

oSubmission of payroll deductions

 

oPreparation and submission of Value added Tax

 

oPreparation and submission of Quarterly Taxes

 

Mandatory Job Qualifications and Skills:

 

·5+ years’ accounting experience required.

 

·ACCA qualifications (completed Level 2 at a minimum)

 

·Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks will be an asset.

 

·Experience in inventory will be an asset.

 

·Proficient in MS Office with advanced MS Excel experience, with particular focus on reconciliations.

 

·Able to perform in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

 

·Results oriented individual with great problem-solving skills and takes a high level of initiative.

 

·Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

·Maintains a high level of professionalism.
