Core Responsibilities
● Financial Record-Keeping: Maintaining and updating the general ledger and various journals.
● Reconciliation: Performing regular bank, credit card, and vendor statement reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
● Transactional Processing: Managing accounts payable (processing invoices and preparing payments) and accounts receivable (issuing invoices and tracking receipts).
● Statutory Compliance: Assisting with the preparation and filing of VAT returns, payroll deductions, and other tax submissions.
● Budgeting Support: Aiding in the creation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts.
● Audit Preparation: Gathering documentation and preparing schedules for internal and external annual audits.
Key Skills & Qualifications
● Professional Certification: Candidates may be expected to have or be studying toward professional qualifications like ACCA, CIMA, or AAT.
● Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Sage.
● Attention to Detail: Precision in data entry and the ability to spot errors in financial documentation.
● Discretion: Handling sensitive or confidential financial data with high professionalism.
● Time Management: Ability to meet strict month-end and year-end reporting deadlines.
