Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and personable Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a strong knowledge of drink recipes, and the ability to create a welcoming environment for all guests. You are expected to be bright, fresh, and immaculate in clean uniform.
Your attitude should be one of confidence, professionalism, and proactivity, keen and ready to exceed guest expectations, whilst recognizing that customer satisfaction is of paramount importance.
As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and service of beverage in a high volume and high-end environment. Must ensure prompt and accurate service is given to the guest.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet all guest promptly with a SMILE. If you are busy at least acknowledge guest with eye contact.
• Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and customer preferences
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including tools, equipment, and surfaces.
• Checks customers’ identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
• Takes customer orders and process payments accurately.
• Monitors guest behaviour and respond to any signs of intoxication or disturbances appropriately.
• Assists with inventory management including ordering and receiving supplies.
• Maintains knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions.
• Follows all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Mixes and prepares a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and customer requests
• Pours and serves wine, beer, and other beverages
• Maintains a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, garnishes and other necessary items.
• Collects payment from customers.
• Maintains a clean and organized bar.
• Ensures proper rotation and storage of beverages.
• Addresses customer issues in and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Collaborates with other staff members to ensure smooth bar operations.
• Checks delivery of item on requisition.
• Report any stock shortages and maintenance problem to the bar manager ASAP.
• Performing opening duties as described in the opening procedure and checklist.
• Communicate efficiently with the barback, bar and management team.
• Communicate, give feedback and improve the bar efficiency and product quality.
• Performing closing duties as described in the closing procedure and checklist.
Requirements:
• Proven bartending experience preferred
• Knowledge of a wide range of drink recipes and mixology techniques
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
