This role is central to advancing the company’s strategic objectives, strengthening client partnerships, and positioning the organization for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies consistent with the company’s long-term vision and strategic plan.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities within existing and emerging markets.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead the preparation of high-quality proposals, bids, and presentations to support client acquisition and retention.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and market conditions to inform decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment of business development initiatives with operational capabilities and corporate priorities.
  • Provide senior management with regular performance reports, market intelligence, and forecasts.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification will be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ progressive experience in business development, with a proven record of success in the energy or construction sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure and manage high-value contracts while building and sustaining long-term client relationships.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • An established network within the energy sector will be considered a distinct advantage
