Ours is a manufacturing company is in need of Assistant Accountant to manages the company's core financial records, prepares journal entries, and reconciles balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting during the month. He/ She will be supervised by an Accountant.

This role focuses on tracking production costs, analyzing inventory variances, and ensuring accurate allocation of manufacturing overhead across process-based production lines.

Core Responsibilities
  • Process Costing Analysis: Track and allocate raw material, labor, and overhead costs across continuous production processes.
  • Inventory Reconciliation: Reconcile work-in-progress (WIP), raw materials, and finished goods inventory accounts monthly.
  • Variance Reporting: Analyze and report on material yield, scrap, and labor variances against standard costs.
  • Journal Entries: Prepare and post standard, accrual, and adjusting journal entries related to manufacturing operations.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations for all general ledger accounts, ensuring GAAP/IFRS compliance.
  • Month-End Close: Execute month-end close schedules, running cost-rollups and clearing production orders in the ERP system.
  • Audit & Compliance: Prepare audit schedules and provide documentation for internal, external, and inventory audits.
Required Qualifications
 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of accounting experience, specifically within a manufacturing or process-costing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and experience with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and internal controls (SOX compliance where applicable).
