Position Summary
The GPS Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of GPS tracking devices and related telematics equipment in various vehicle types. This role requires strong automotive electrical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced technical environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Install GPS tracking devices and related telematics equipment in vehicles
• Diagnose and troubleshoot installation issues
• Work with vehicle electrical systems including power, ignition, grounding, and accessory circuits
• Integrate devices with vehicle CANBUS systems where required
• Perform system testing and quality checks after installation
• Provide technical support to customers when necessary
• Maintain accurate job records and installation reports
• Manage installation schedules and meet deadlines
• Ensure all installations meet company and industry standards
• Maintain tools and company equipment in good condition
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems
• Working knowledge of vehicle CANBUS systems
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced technical environment
• Ability to learn and understand new automotive systems and technologies
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s Permit
• Must own a reliable working vehicle

Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory but an Asset)
• Previous experience installing GPS trackers, alarms, or automotive electronics
• Certification or training in automotive electrical systems
• Experience working with fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles
• Basic computer literacy (for software configuration and diagnostics)
