Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that correct goods are being loaded into delivery vehicle by checking the goods against invoice for each customer.
2. Ensure that goods are safely packed in delivery vehicle and kept safe at all times.
3. Deliver goods to customers and ensure that customer verifies correctness of goods received by checking goods delivered against invoice. Return a signed copy of the invoice to Accounting or the Dispatcher.
4. Ensure that payments received from customers are correct by checking against invoice and issue receipts to reflect payments received. Deposit payment with Accounting or Dispatcher upon return to office.
5. Prepare credit slips for goods being returned by customers and submit to Supervisor Warehouse or Dispatcher for processing.
6. Ensure that vehicle is functional prior to departure for delivery routes by checking fuel and oil levels.
7. Maintain the Cleanliness of delivery vehicles by washing and cleaning vehicles as required.
8. Assist with the offloading of containers and loading of delivery trucks.
9. Ensure that goods are safely packed in delivery vehicle.
10. Any other related duties.

Job specifications:

• A valid Heavy-T Driver’s Permit with 2 years driving experience with an acceptable safety/accident record
• Previous experience as a Heavy-T delivery truck driver will be an asset
• Knowledge of traffic regulations and routes
• Must have a basic knowledge of Math and English and be well spoken
• Must be physically fit as the job involves lifting of boxes
• Must have a clean and tidy appearance
