Rahamut Enterprises Limited is seeking a dedicated and proactive HSE Officer Assistant to support the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) initiatives across all divisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

The HSE Officer Assistant will support the operations of the company by performing the following duties:

  • Conduct Risk Assessment Evaluations for all divisions under the guidance of the HSE Administrator and in accordance with the Company’s HSE Management System.
  • Carry out daily, weekly, and quarterly compound inspections (or as otherwise directed).
  • Identify corrective actions during inspections and escalate issues outside of authority to the HSE Manager.
  • Conduct Safety Orientation training for all new employees and re-orientation sessions for existing staff.
  • Lead Toolbox Meetings as scheduled or instructed by the HSE Administrator.
  • Visit customer sites to audit deliveries and assess compliance with Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries (MEEA) requirements.
  • Prepare audit reports, documenting all instances of non-compliance  
  • Submit all reports in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an HSE-related role, preferably in the fuel, transport, industrial.
  • Certification in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Knowledge of the OSH Act of Trinidad and Tobago, MEEA, EMA regulations, and NP guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of HSE systems, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to conduct Risk Assessments, inspections, audits, and investigations.
  • Communication and report-writing skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver’s permit and be willing to go various sites.
