The incumbent is required to provide technical support in the operations and maintenance of the ICT infrastructure of NFM under the guidance and direction of the ICT Team Lead.  

Key Responsibilities 

1. Install, configure and support personal computers, printers, mobile devices and related software 

2. Monitor the operations of NFM’s IT and networking infrastructure 

3. Assist with the installation and implementation of computer and networking infrastructure 

4. Respond to, troubleshoot and resolve IT incident and service requests, escalating complex issues where necessary 

5. Identify, diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues 

6. Document technical issues and solutions and generate reports on system performance and usage 

7. Log, track and manage incidents, service requests and IT assets, including hardware and software  

8. Stays current with industry trends, emerging technologies and advancements in software and hardware systems 

Essential Qualifications and Experience 

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field 

• Minimum of five (5) CXC subjects, including Mathematics and English 

• Experience within a manufacturing environment would be an asset 

• Experience troubleshooting issues within a Microsoft Windows environment

• Working knowledge of IT and networking infrastructure components 

• Ability to install/remove hardware and software 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 

• Strong problem-solving skills 

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills 

• Keen attention to detail 

• Ability to assist with user accounts management and access control 

• Demonstrated initiative and sound judgement in prioritising tasks 

• Ability to adapt effectively within a dynamic and changing environment  

• Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and meet agreed deadlines
