JOB OVERVIEW:
To research and evaluate economic and financial market conditions and review and recommend investment opportunities for investment by the various portfolios under management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
1.    To review, evaluate and recommend fixed income and/or equity securities for investment.
2.    To conduct economic and financial research on various financial markets and economies.
3.    To conduct credit reviews and valuations on existing holdings and participate in conference calls/analyst meeting for current or prospective holdings.
4.    To draft articles, research papers, newsletters and commentary on the global and domestic economy, investments, trends and outlook for client circulation and publication.
5.    To assist in the Budgeting and Forecasting exercise for the Group

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 
•    Undergraduate qualification in Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field from a recognized university or institution.
•    At least 2 years’ experience in the investment management industry in a research or analytical position

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
As a regulated entity with obligations under the Know Your Employee guidelines, a Certificate of Character is required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: 
The Investment Research Analyst must have the ability to build a strong network of internal and external relationships. He/She must be able to communicate effectively with professionals and clients. Research and Analytical skills and knowledge of the global macroeconomic environment are essential. The individual must possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to make sound recommendations.
