JOB SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision, be responsible for managing and growing relationships with Rhino Waste Solutions’ most important customers in the Local & Regional Markets, including, but not limited to, distributors, retail chains, industrial clients and institutional buyers; focusing on maximizing sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction while ensuring strong market presence across all product lines; assisting in other areas of the Department as needed and ensuring that the Company is always projected as the Leader in the Industry and a Good Corporate Citizen.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
Includes but is not limited to the following:
1. Account Management & Sales Growth
Manage and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts in local and export markets.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve growth and margin targets.
Negotiate annual pricing, trading terms, promotions, and contracts.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across product categories (garbage bags, garbage bins, material handling)
Ensure accurate sales forecasting and timely product availability.
Ensure that reports are maintained for all sales activities (daily calls, customer visits & feedback, weekly work plans, etc.) so that same can be submitted as requested by Management; ensure that all the information being submitted is accurate.
Manage the receivables by ensuring that credit limits are not exceeded, contacting customers with overdue accounts and that payments are made by customers in a timely manner.
2. Customer Relationship & Service
Serve as the main point of contact for all key accounts.
Provide solutions to customer issues, ensuring prompt resolution and satisfaction.
Conduct regular account visits and business reviews to strengthen relationships.
Collaborate with internal departments (Logistics, Production and Finance) to ensure seamless execution of orders and deliveries.
3. Market & Business Development
Identify new business opportunities, including institutional, government and export channels (B2B & HORECA).
Monitor competitor activities, market trends and pricing to provide strategic recommendations.
Work with the Product Manager to align sales initiatives with marketing campaigns and product launches.
Gather customer and market feedback to inform product development and innovation.
4. Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and present monthly sales reports, forecasts and account performance analyses.
Track and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as revenue growth, customer retention and gross margins.
Maintain accurate CRM and account data to support decision-making.
Ensure collaboration between internal teams where necessary.
Attend monthly Sales meetings and/or Marketing meetings as needed.
Liaise with Production and Warehouse Departments to ensure orders are completed on a timely basis for all requirements.
Manage the marketing and sales budgets to ensure cost-effective execution of brand initiatives and sales strategies.
Participate in forecasting and planning, ensuring alignment between marketing efforts and projected sales.
Timely submission of sales forecast for forwarding to Production Department to aid with production scheduling.
5. Administrative Functions
Provide administrative assistance and represent the Product Manager as appropriate in communicating with internal and external customers.
Organize, facilitate and follow up on issues related to meetings and other special events, as required by the Product Manager.
Provide information to internal and external (local & export) customers and facilitate the resolution of customer complaints and queries in conjunction with the Product Manager.
Correspond with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and customer expectations are met.
Assist in the coordination, supervision and completion of special projects ensuring the provision of quality service and products are met.
Create and maintain files, records, logs and other documents, as needed.
Organize workload to ensure deadlines are met by scheduling and prioritizing work assignments.
Follow up with ongoing projects and customer’s orders whilst the Product Manager is out of office.
Provide administrative support to the Waste Solutions Team to include, but not limited to, the following:
• Maintaining and creating files
• Preparing, proforma invoices for customers.
• Corresponding with customers
• Serving as liaison with subsidiaries
• Ensuring timely response to written requests
• Coordination of orders.
• Ensuring that orders are approved by customers, forwarded to the relevant Department to be entered into the system and copies sent to the relevant Department(s) for approval.
• Liaising with the Production and Warehouse teams to follow on customers’ orders.
• Liaise with the Customs department ensuring orders are received to prepare shipping documents.
• Sending documents to customers via the courier system
