We are seeking an experienced Machinery Technician / Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of construction machinery and equipment on a major construction project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all machinery and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
  • Perform and supervise maintenance, repair, and inspection activities.
  • Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety requirements relating to equipment use.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance schedules, fault logs, and technical reports.
  • Identify spare parts requirements and manage inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel regarding equipment needs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to operators and field personnel.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and equipment-related issues and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Technical certification or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Diesel Mechanics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience maintaining and supervising construction equipment and machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and equipment diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and maintenance documentation.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices within the construction industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects will be an asset.
