We are seeking an experienced, highly organised, and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Company and ensure that business activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with established standards and objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating operational activities, managing resources, monitoring performance, improving processes, and supporting the achievement of the Company's strategic and financial goals. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Company's daily operational activities and ensure smooth and efficient business processes.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational procedures, policies, and performance standards.
- Coordinate activities across departments to ensure effective workflow and achievement of business objectives.
- Supervise, motivate, and provide guidance to operational staff and team members.
- Establish performance expectations and monitor employee productivity and service delivery.
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor operational costs and ensure resources are utilised effectively.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning related to operational activities.
- Monitor inventory, equipment, supplies, and other operational resources to ensure availability and proper utilisation.
- Ensure that facilities, equipment, and operational resources are properly maintained.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, service providers, and other business partners as required.
- Monitor service quality and ensure that customer and client requirements are consistently met.
- Review operational reports, KPIs, and performance data and provide recommendations to Management.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, applicable laws, regulations, health and safety requirements, and industry standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased operational efficiency.
- Assist with the development and implementation of business continuity and contingency plans.
- Coordinate projects and operational initiatives as assigned by Management.
- Prepare regular operational reports and provide updates on departmental performance.
- Address operational issues, employee concerns, and customer service matters in a timely and professional manner.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of operational employees where required.
- Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative working environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in operations management, business administration, or a related supervisory/management role.
- Proven experience supervising and managing employees.
- Experience developing and implementing operational procedures and processes.
- Experience monitoring budgets, costs, KPIs, and operational performance.
- Experience in project coordination and process improvement would be an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Valid Trinidad and Tobago Driver's Permit would be an asset.
