Job Purpose
The Production Supervisor supports the organization’s purpose of Feeding our Caribbean Families by fulfilling the expectations set out below while applying the organization’s values of Customer Orientation, Ownership, Growth Mindset, Integrity, and Dependability.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that all food packaging operation activities are in accordance with required safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.

• Practices proper industrial hygiene and timely cleaning of all areas in accordance with the orgnization’ s housekeeping standards.

• Ensures spills are immediately picked up in keeping with Food Safety requirements.

• Complies with the organisation’s GMP, Food Safety, HACCP & Integrated Pest Management programs.

• Ensures that raw material and packaged samples are taken and sent to the laboratory for analysis in accordance with the Quality Plan.

• Ensure  that all  production  targets are  in accordance  with  Marketing/Sales forecasts and requirements.

• Coordinate  the  availability  of  people,  equipment,  and  input  materials,  to  ensure  the optimisation of the packaging and processing operations.

• Maintain the integrity of the packaging plant to relevant standards (GMP, YUM, SQF, etc.) and equipment on a shift basis.

• Direct the activities of the Production Staff on a shift basis in compliance with Production Schedule.

• Ensure the availability of warehousing space for finished goods.

• Ensure Master Sanitation Schedules are followed as required and documentation completed.

• Ensure all quality inspections completed in accordance with the quality inspection schedule.

• Generate work requests and liaise with Maintenance department when required to ensure optimal operation of machines and processing equipment.

• Validate machine operation log sheets with the MES.

• Complete and validate daily packaging/production reports for each shift 

• Investigate and initiate any disciplinary issues with employees as required.

• Conduct training with production staff with accordance to work instructions and company policies as required.

• Input required data into ERP software solution as required.

• Investigate, initiate, and close any disciplinary issues with employees as required.

•Execute any other deliverables as directed by the Assistant Manager – Food Production or Manager – Food Production.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma in Production/Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET)/Electrical and Electrical

• Engineering Technician (EEET)/Engineering/Sciences.

• Must possess a minimum of five (5) CSEC/O’Level/CXC subjects, including the minimum of a Grade II in both Mathematics and English Language.

• Certificate in Advanced Supervision.

• A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrable experience in a related manufacturing/process environment, with at least two (2) years in the role of a supervisor.
