Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly qualified Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing construction projects assigned and assist with the preparation of technical project documents, including contracts, project schedule, and engineer’s estimate. He/she will coordinate all activity related to assigned projects, supervise contractors, conduct meetings, and prepare project reports.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee construction projects assigned.
  • Assist in preparation of technical documents such as engineers’ estimate, scope of works, and other related project documents
  • Participate in kick-off meetings with subcontractors to ensure common understanding of safety requirements, contract provisions, costs, and change management requirements.
  • Provide overall project cost, schedule, progress, and change management leadership.
  • Maintain project schedules in MS Project or another format as required.
  • Conduct briefing sessions for project team members with respect to project schedule requirements and processes.
  • Prepare weekly project reports.
  • Validate payment request submitted by contractor.
  • Assist with preparation of budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget.
  • Other duties as assigned relating to the job.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Science / Management or a similar field.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Construction with three (3) years in Project Management.
  • Demonstrate capacity to complete project support, monitoring, and administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge or experience in the oil and gas industry would be an advantage.
  • Strong Attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • A high degree of technical know-how.
  • Results-driven.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 08:00 am to 5:00 pm
