Are you an experienced professional in environmental remediation and project management? Kaizen is seeking a dynamic Project Supervisor to lead and oversee the execution of a complex environmental site remediation project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile initiative in the heart of Port of Spain.
Key Responsibilities
As the Project Supervisor, you will:
ü Supervise Site Remediation Activities: Oversee the implementation of selected remediation strategies, including soil excavation, LNAPL extraction, and contaminated material disposal.
ü Ensure Compliance: Monitor adherence to the Certificate of Environmental Clearance (CEC) requirements and project-specific environmental standards, including waste management, air quality, noise control, and stormwater management.
ü Coordinate Project Elements: Supervise the installation of well points, sheet piling, and the management of contaminated soil and groundwater.
ü Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Enforce site-specific HSE protocols, conduct daily safety briefings, and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
ü Project Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including daily progress reports, monitoring plans, and incident reports.
ü Liaise with Stakeholders: Coordinate with the Owner, Owner Engineer, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless execution of project deliverables.
ü Manage On-Site Personnel: Direct on-site teams, subcontractors, and ensure professional conduct and productivity at all times.
ü Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce QA/QC standards in all project phases.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in environmental remediation, construction, or industrial projects.
Proven experience with contaminated soil excavation, groundwater extraction, sheet piling, and waste management.
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage large-scale remediation projects.
Certifications:
Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., STOW, ISO 14001) are highly desirable.
Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain required local permits.

Leadership: Strong supervisory and team management skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Attention to Detail: Ensure precision in monitoring, reporting, and compliance adherence.
