PURCHASING ASSISTANT

 

Responsibilities:

  • To purchase raw materials, finished goods and machinery spares from both local and foreign suppliers.
  • To support all department by maintaining and recommending efficient stock levels.
  • To constantly monitor these levels and recommendations.
  • To ensure that items received are in accordance with those specified on the Purchase Order.
  • To maintain the integrity of the system governing the department.

 

Requirements:

  • 5 CXC O’ Levels
  • GCE A’ Levels would be an asset
  • Computer Literacy – MS Excel, MS Word, Internet
  • Experience in purchasing would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Great Plains software would be as asset
  • Existing knowledge of local suppliers/ manufacturers
  • Experience with inventory control
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management
  • Responsible, Mature Individual capable of multi-tasking
