A leading manufacturing/food processing company in East Trinidad is seeking an experienced and qualified individual to fill the position of Quality Control Officer. The Quality Control Officer ensures the production facility and products adhere to food safety standards, health regulations and good manufacturing procedures by developing and executing comprehensive quality control programs and effecting corrective actions when necessary.
 
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

1. Maintain and enforce temperature management through real-time review of temperature readings.
2. Monitor production processes, equipment and tools to ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs, HACCP and quality measures and report any discrepancies to management.
3. Perform product checks and facility testing to ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations.
4. Identify root cause of non-conformances and propose corrective actions.

 
 
REQUIREMENTS

1. Five (5) CXC passes inclusive of Maths and English
2. Diploma in Quality Management, Food Safety or a related discipline will be an asset
3. At least three (3) years’ experience working in quality control, food safety or food processing.
4. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
