Position Summary

Support the Reliability Team and plant operations by performing daily reliability maintenance to ensure the machines and equipment in the Mill and Converting plants are more efficient and dependable.

Supervisory Responsibility

Direct Reports: Nil

Indirect Reports: Nil

Responsibilities

  1. Perform lubrication routes using standard/best practice engineering techniques and procedures; report abnormalities and take corrective action where required.
  2. Perform condition monitoring routes using hand tools provided; report abnormalities and take corrective action where required.
  3. Collect data for predictive and in-depth analysis as required using, but not limited to, vibration monitoring equipment.
  4. Repair equipment on outages or otherwise; assist Mechanical Technicians when required.
  5. Use and maintain all tools and equipment according to specifications and Company standards.
  6. Perform lubricant inventory checks as required and advise on items to be re-ordered.
  7. Ensure proper housekeeping with routine cleaning of the work area as well as cleanliness of the machines and equipment, in line with company or acceptable standards (5S or otherwise).
  8. Contribute to the overall performance and efficiency of the Maintenance Department.
  9. Attend Department or other company meetings as required.
  10. Adhere to, actively promote and ensure compliance with the Company's Health and Safety Policies.
  11. Report any unsafe acts immediately to your Direct Supervisor; operate in a safe manner, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
  12. Execute all relevant responsibilities as outlined in the Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities Matrix (MT-GM-004) to ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  13. Perform any other related duties that may be assigned.

Education & Training

• A minimum of five (5) O'Level / CSEC passes including Mathematics and English.

• MET Certificate or equivalent.

Experience

• Experience with reading and understanding drawings and manuals.

• Ability to select suitable tools for tasks assigned.
