True Blue Pools (Caribbean) is seeking an experienced Swimming Pool Plumber / Equipment Technician for a permanent position within our technical team.  Location: Trinidad & Tobago, with travel throughout the Caribbean

Key Responsibilities

* Install, repair and modify swimming pool PVC plumbing systems.

* Install, test, troubleshoot and repair pool equipment including pumps, filters, chlorination systems, valves, heaters and related equipment.

* Diagnose circulation, plumbing and equipment problems.

* Carry out pressure testing of swimming pool plumbing systems.

* Assist with or perform leak detection and underground pipe diagnostics.

* Plan jobs properly, including materials, tools and sequence of work.

* Provide clear, accurate and detailed reports to management on findings, work completed and recommended repairs.

* Work effectively both independently and as part of a technical/project team.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

* Practical experience with swimming pool plumbing.

* Experience installing and repairing swimming pool pumps, filters and related equipment.

* Strong knowledge of PVC pipework, valves and fittings.

* Good mechanical and troubleshooting ability.

* Experience with pressure testing and leak detection preferred; however, a technically strong candidate who can be trained in these specialized areas will be considered.

* Ability to read basic plumbing layouts and technical drawings.

* Good project planning and organizational skills.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to report findings accurately.

* Good communication skills and professional manner.

* Clean, neat and well presented.

* Reliable, responsible and an excellent team player.

* Valid driver's licence and ability to drive a manual-transmission vehicle.

* Valid passport and willingness to travel throughout the Caribbean, sometimes for several days at a time.

Formal plumbing or mechanical qualifications would be an asset, but practical experience, technical ability, reliability and attitude are particularly important.
