Job Brief:
The Team Lead - Transaction Processing (TLTP) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day processing of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in operations. This role involves supervising a team of Transaction Processing Officers, managing workflows, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth financial processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervises and guides Transaction Processing Officers to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions
Oversee the verification of customer funds and ensure adherence to internal control measures.
Manages the processing of ACH transfers, salary deductions, refunds, and insurance claims.
Ensures the reconciliation of financial transactions and resolve discrepancies with the Finance team
Authorizes and oversees the posting of transactions to customer accounts
Supervises the preparation of invoices for finance leases, vehicle sales, and related payments
Oversees the generation of customer statements and other financial documentation
Acts as the first point of escalation for complex or irregular transactions
Investigates and resolves transaction discrepancies and customer complaints in collaboration with relevant teams
Provides leadership, coaching, and training to the Transaction Processing team
Allocates workload and monitors performance to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback to team members
Fosters a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvements
Liaises with the Retail, Commercial Lending, Treasury & Investments, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve transaction-related issues
Coordinates with external financial institutions and regulatory bodies as required
Reviews and validate transaction reports for accuracy and completeness
Ensure proper record-keeping and audit readiness by maintaining updated documentation
Prepares and submits periodic reports on transaction volumes, errors, and efficiency metrics Identifies opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.
Ensures compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Collaborate with internal departments to streamline workflows and improve service delivery
Assists in the development and enhancement of transaction processing policies and procedures
