Job Purpose:
 Oversee the Vehicle Leasing & Rental Operations 

The Vehicle Leasing & Rental Lead plays a pivotal role in the automotive leasing and rentals, overseeing its operations. This position is responsible for leading the vehicle leasing and rental division, optimising fleet utilisation, and ensuring customer satisfaction in compliance with regulations, OEM standards, and contractual agreements. The Vehicle Leasing and Rental Lead will lead a team, coordinate with various departments, and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and increase profitability. This role requires a strategic mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional service, ensuring that both the company and its customers achieve their objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the vehicle leasing and rental division, ensuring that all processes are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate leasing performance, customer satisfaction, and fleet utilisation.
  • On call for an emergency

 

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, hire, discipline, train, and mentor leasing staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback to team members to enhance their skills and productivity.


Customer Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure a positive leasing experience.
  • Research to understand customer needs and preferences to ensure expectations are met and exceeded.


Fleet Management:

  •      Oversee fleet maintenance, ensuring the leasing & rental inventory is well-maintained and meets customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Management team to negotiate favourable terms with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Maintain required stock levels of consumables to ensure efficiency
  • Order, receive and inspect vehicle parts
  • Coordinate and ensure vehicle servicing with OEM/ Contractual arrangements
  • Follow up on Vehicle Repairs to reduce downtime
  • Inspect vehicles before rental to maintain quality standards
  • Ensure vehicle service records are maintained
  • Coordinate Redshred operations & maintain equipment

 

HSE, Compliance and Risk Management:

  •     Ensure that operations comply with CERL policies and procedures and the laws of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago
  • Conduct regular audits of documentation to mitigate risks and ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Plan, implement, monitor, and improve Divisional HSE performance following CERL Policies & Procedures.
  • Continually assess the workplace for potential hazards, identify hazards, and implement controls
  • Conduct accident and incident investigations and document
  • Prepare JSAs & Perform Risk assessments
  • Ensure Toolbox meetings are carried out and documented
  • Ensure all regulatory & third-party vehicle inspections are coordinated and achieved to maintain compliance
  • Ensure all regulatory permits are up to date to maintain continuous operations
  • Ensure all third-party inspections are current.

 

Property Maintenance

  •       Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and address any outstanding action items, ensuring the property is maintained to the expected standard.
  •       Enforce good Housekeeping practices.
  • ●    Ensure that all compliance documents for plant and machinery are up-to-date and readily available for inspection. 


    Requirements :
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.  
  • Microsoft 365 proficient, 
  • Strong mechanical knowledge for both Heavy and Light vehicles. 
  • Should possess strong leadership and organisational skills, with experience in logistics, understanding of regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for coordinating with teams and clients.
