Position Title: Regional Head of Finance  

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
 
Overview:  
Our Company seeks a dynamic and accomplished financial leader to serve as Regional Head of Finance. This executive role will spearhead the development and execution of the regional financial management strategy, ensuring robust internal controls, compliance with IFRS and Group guidelines, and driving strategic growth.
 
Position Summary:
As a key executive team member, reporting to the CEO, the Regional Head of Finance will partner with regional finance teams to achieve financial excellence. This leader will drive growth, optimize financial performance, and provide strategic insights to support the Company’s evolving digital needs.


Essential Responsibilities
Strategy, Planning, and Management
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and advice to senior leadership.
  • Evaluate and analyze financial performance in relation to long-term goals, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Offer insights and recommendations for both short-term and long-term growth plans.
  • Identify, implement, and manage financial and operational software systems for critical data analysis.
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing country-specific financial data for executive and board-level decisions.
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors and oversee all external audits.
 
Financial Analysis, Budgeting, and Forecasting
  • Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, cash flows), forecasts, and variance analyses, including recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain monthly and annual operating budgets.
  • Ensure a healthy balance sheet and manage key financial metrics.
  • Oversee payroll functions.
 
Financial Management
  • Utilize robust analytical techniques to advise on business asset valuations, capital projects, and investments.
  • Manage cash, foreign currency transactions, investments, and asset management.
  • Provide recommendations on potential returns and risks associated with new investment opportunities.
  • Use financial models and activity-based analyses to offer insights into operational plans and budgets.
 
Financial Relations and Policies
  • Collaborate with the board of directors to develop short-term and long-term financial plans and budgets.
  • Represent the company in interactions with banks, financial partners, investors, auditors, and government officials.
  • Stay updated on new IFRS standards, regulatory requirements, and laws affecting company operations.
  • Establish internal control processes for daily cash management, payables, large check approvals, wires, and ACH transactions.
 
Leadership
  • Apply effective leadership strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing regional finance team.
  • Mentor and influence all levels of the organization, providing inspirational leadership.
  • Demonstrate success in facilitating organizational change and development.
  • Exhibit strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and conflict resolution abilities.

Qualifications
  • FCCA
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business management, operations, and leadership within Financial or Money Service Businesses.
 
Knowledge and Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Financial Services accounting principles and practices.
  • Extensive experience in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of statutory laws, compliance, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Accpac Accounting Software or similar systems.
  • Experience with external audits, internal controls, and compliance issues.
  • Understanding of Change Management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
