Description

1. Ensures that proper processes and procedures are in place for inventory optimization.
2. Implements new inventory control methods or technology as necessary to improve efficiency.
3. Conducts audit of inventory controls by monitoring employee activity and movement of merchandise on an as-needed basis
4. Train and coach inventory/receiving clerks to ensure an efficient and effective department
5. Review and analyze all relevant reports and provide corrective action for inefficiencies
6. Set sales goals and monitor inventory levels to ensure they are met by reviewing the sales forecast.
7. Ensures that all weekly, monthly, and yearly reports are submitted on time
8. Ensure that procedures are being followed as they relate to issuing and receiving goods.
9. Assist in End of Year stock count.
10. Process stock adjustment forms.
11. Improve efficiency by identifying gaps in the process and provide solutions to close the gaps to prevent theft and excessive obsolete stock.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
• Certification in Inventory and/or Warehouse Management systems
• At least 3 years of Inventory Management Experience
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a similar or related field;
• Certification in inventory management will be an asset
• Experience in the construction or hardware industry will be an asset
• Working knowledge of cycle counting will be an asset
• Certification in Health and Safety will be an asset
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must be a team player.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work on Saturdays
