Trinidad Generation Unlimited (TGU) manages a major fuel-efficient power plant in Trinidad and Tobago. The 720-megawatt (MW) TGU facility is a combined-cycle power plant which is owned by the National Investment Fund (NIF), the latter is a wholly owned entity of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago (GoRTT). The plant is located at the Union Industrial Estate, La Brea and supported by a Corporate Office in Chaguanas.
Trinidad Generation Unlimited (TGU)invites suitably qualified persons to apply for the following contract position:
Job Purpose:
The Project Technician will be responsible for verification and staging of outage parts, contractor equipment mobilisation, in some cases act as the job supervisor for certain jobs being executed by accepting the PTWs, arrange certification and testing of specialised tools and equipment and creating purchase requisitions for contracted services. On a regular basis the Project Technician will be utilised to provide technical field support for plant related projects and technical evaluations.
Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a technical role related to project support, field operations, or maintenance.
