Job Purpose:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Merchandising Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of retail trends, and the ability to create visually appealing product displays that drive sales. As a Merchandising Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and executing merchandising strategies, analyzing sales data, and collaborating with various departments to ensure that our products are presented in the best possible way. You will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to develop promotional strategies and ensure that our retail spaces are optimized for customer engagement. Your role will also involve monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and staying up-to-date with industry trends to ensure that our merchandising efforts are always ahead of the curve.

Duties & Responsibilities but not limited to:

1. Develop and implement merchandising strategies.
2. Create visually appealing product displays.
3. Analyze sales data to inform merchandising decisions.
4. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams.
5. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers.
6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends.
7. Optimize retail spaces for customer engagement.
8. Plan and execute promotional strategies.
9. Ensure product displays are aligned with brand guidelines.
10. Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising effectiveness.
11. Train store staff on merchandising best practices.
12. Manage merchandising budgets and expenses.
13. Coordinate with visual merchandisers and graphic designers.
14. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
15. Prepare reports on merchandising performance.
16. Identify opportunities for product placement improvements.
17. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
18. Participate in trade shows and industry events.
19. Provide feedback to product development teams.
20. Assist and provide support for DIY demos

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in merchandising or retail management.
• Strong understanding of retail trends and consumer behaviour.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of visual merchandising principles.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise as required.
• Certification in health and safety regulations will be an asset
• Experience in training and development.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Passion for retail and customer service
• Must be able to work on Saturdays
• Possession of a valid passport and US visa will be an asset
