ACCOUNTS SUPERVISOR

SAN FERNANDO BRANCH
 
OVERVIEW
The Accounts Supervisor is a senior Accounting Officer in the Finance Department and is responsible for providing support to the Finance Department in the execution of overall daily accounting operations and audits of the Company.
 
MAIN TASKS
  • Supervising staff and conducting Performance Appraisals.
  • Preparing daily and monthly financial reports.
  • Providing assistant with banking institutions in respect of Forex matters.
  • Assisting with Weekly Treasury reports.
  • Assist with payments on foreign payable accounts.
  • Checking F&I New Car Sales Invoices.
  • Reviewing and authorizing journals and bank reconciliations in daily operations.
  • Preparing various general journals for close of accounting month.
  • Approving daily deposits and verifying end of day journals for posting.
  • Reviewing assigned schedules prepared by Accounting Assistants and Accounts Clerks.
  • Preparing assigned schedules and analyzing general ledger accounts activity.
  • Reviewing petty cash and daily bank reconciliation sheet.
  • Assisting with the Accounts Receivable credit override process.
  • Preparing financial statements for Annual External Audits.
  • Coordinating stock count exercises.
 
MINIMUM EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
  • ACCA Certified.
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in the use of CDK software would be an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
