Description
Location: Piarco
Hours of Work: 8am to 5pm
Employment Type: Permanent
Purpose:
Coordinate air-and ocean export shipments for the customers, according to the operational process flow, assuring that the service being provided is the one offered in Compliance with local and international laws.
Functions:
- Prepare shipping labels.
- Verify the departure of the cargo with the airlines or sealines/ co-loaders
- Coordinate the transfer/ transport of shipments to the corresponding air- or ship line
- Coordinate container collections with shipping lines
- Prepare, digitalize and send the shipping documentation
- Make the booking/ SLI with the airlines & maritime lines
- Review documentation with origin and destination compliance/ customs laws
- Monitor the arrival at destination of all exports
- Update our internal OPS log system daily and update CWi
- Prepare and send the supplier payment report to accounting
- Detect and report nonconformities to create opportunities to improve in your area
- Prepare and send the job orders for customer billing to accounting
- Prepare reports to clients if required
- Assist the department in other activities as requested
- Execute their job accordng to good operational practices and product handling
- Communicate any activity or improvement idea that could be applied in the work area
- To assist in any other assignment according to company needs
- Complete Bookings, ISF Forms, AWB/BL's, manifest and all other exportation forms
- Inspect cargo, and conduct site visits if necessary
Requirements and Competencies:
- Academic Level: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Administration, International Business or related careers
- Technical: Customs clerk grade 2 or higher
- Languages: Intermediate English (verbal and writing)
- Experience: 5 years in a similar role
Other requirements:
- Knowledge of Export processes air and ocean
- Knowledge of Export Documentation
- Knowledge of Asycude system
- Analysis capacity
- DG certified
- Effective Communication
- Computer literate
