Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The Communications Officer - Branding & Visualization is responsible for developing plans and executing projects and initiatives that support the Company’s branding and visual identity strategy which aligns with the company’s long-term objectives so that the company continues to be respected and trusted by its stakeholders. The jobholder collaborates with multiple stakeholders to ensure the brand remains relevant and that all initiatives, with a strong focus on company-sponsored programmes, support the Company’s brand philosophy. The job holder also ensures the brand is consistent across all touchpoints including plant and corporate workspaces, promotional materials, company events and various communication channels.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develops, regulates, and manages the Company's brand and all branded signage, collateral deployed across the company, events/sponsorships where the company is represented as well as online platforms – company website, social media platforms etc., to ensure all branding and visual identity efforts are aligned and cohesive.
- Engages stakeholders to promote the brand and ensure an understanding of the brand vision and position and develops strategies to facilitate the embedment of brand values.
- Creates visual content such as infographics, charts, presentations etc., that help to effectively communicate the company’s internal/external messages to its stakeholders.
- Monitors and analyses the company’s brand performance to ensure that branding and visual identity initiatives are effective.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE:
- A first degree in Management, Corporate Communications, Business Administration, Graphic design, or other related discipline from a recognised, accredited institution.
- At least five (5) years’ experience in a similar role with responsibility for reputation assurance such as Brand and Sponsorship Management, Marketing and Advertising in similar environment to Atlantic.
- Experience in the development and implementation of public relations and external communications processes, plans, materials, and events.
- Understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Citizenship.
- Certification in branding, visual identity, or graphic design such as Certified Brand Strategist (CBS) or Certified Brand Manager (CBM) would be an asset.
