JOB OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a dedicated and personable Quality Health Safety and Environment manager responsible for the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the quality and safety management systems.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishing quality and safety metrics.
- Leading the development and implementation of policies and programs that ensure compliance with legislation and industry best practice.
- Conducting rigorous QHSE inspections and audits to develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Facilitating training sessions for employees on quality improvement and safety practices.
- Monitoring ongoing performance and quality control systems to ensure products meet consumer expectations and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Preparing detailed reports on quality and safety issues, investigations, and other significant outcomes based on the data collected.
- Establishing quality and safety metrics for product and service excellence.
- Reviewing current policies and making recommendations for improvements.
- Testing and examining samples of new products and monitoring phases of production to ensure overall quality.
- Documenting internal audits and other quality assurance activities.
- Analyzing data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
- Developing, recommending, and monitoring corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensuring ongoing compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
- Managing and maintaining the ISO documentation and certification processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a quality assurance role in the industry.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and practices.
- Experience with quality certification standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.
