Reports to: FOOD & BEVERAGE
JOB SUMMARY
The Food & Beverage Senior Supervisor reports to and works closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, to lead a dedicated team to deliver daily, weekly, and monthly targets whilst keeping a close eye on product quality and customer service.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise multiple outlets including food, beverage, and hospitality functions.
- Plan work and coordinate activities to meet meal schedules.
- Conduct on-the-job training to others, including performance evaluation and disciplinary action recommendations.
- Support colleagues in other areas of the hotel and to assist as required. the dining room, bar, private dining and meetings and events.
- Establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with subordinates and supervisors.
- Ensure that the dining room and bars room, are always maintained to the specified standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- Arrange the Induction Program for all new staff.
- Support colleagues in other departments, help create a welcoming, professional and friendly atmosphere in the hotel, helping and information to all guests.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Focused, organised, efficient, with an eye for detail and a passion for good service.
- Computer literate.
- Personable, vivacious, energetic.
- High standard of personal presentation.
- An individual who can communicate with guests in a relaxed manner, whilst consistently delivering first-class professional service.
- Personal License holder.
- Has a passion for and knowledge of great food, drink and service.
- Able to inspire and manage a small team.
QUALIFICATION
- At least 5 years’ supervisory experience in Food & Beverage environment.
- Certification in Food Beverage Operations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite will be an asset
- A minimum of five (5) CXC passes including Mathematics and English.
- Must be conversant with the Micros system.
- Any equivalent combination of qualifications and experience may be considered.
- Complete Product Knowledge, including Food, Beverage, Operating Equipment, Systems, Events and Standard Operating Policies and Procedures
