Networking Engineer
Position Summary:
To design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot computer networks, and support and develop the networks used by businesses and organizations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain computer networks including mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware, and monitor computer systems to improve network performance for all systems.
- Install and configure network equipment.
- Create firewalls and update virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected.
- Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to customers and providing solutions.
- Implementing disaster recovery procedures.
Education and Experience
- B.Sc. in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Cisco Certified Network Association (CCNA) and CompTIA Network+.
- At least 2+ years’ experience working in the Networking space.
- Knowledge of Networks, Hardware, Routers, Switches and Firewalls.
- Assist with crafting IT Solutions for Sales.
Skills & Competencies
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills
- The ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team-based environment
- Must be highly detail oriented and organized.
