Reports to: Accounts Supervisor
Job Profile:
The Junior Accounting Assistant is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. The Junior Accounting Assistant must comply with established policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Support duties related to accounts payables and accounts receivables functions.
- Assist with preparation of financial and statistical statements and reports.
- Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Entering financial information into appropriate software.
- Coordinating internal and external audit.
- Reconciliation of Accounts.
- Follow thru on company's communication procedures, guidelines and policies.
- Other related duties

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 GCE O’Levels / CXC /CAPE passes (inclusive of Mathematics and English)
- Knowledge of accounts receivable
- Knowledge of office administration and procedures
- Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
- Proficient in relevant computer applications
- 2-3 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience
- 2-3 years Payroll Experience, an asset
- Completion of ACCA level I or currently pursuing ACCA, an asset
