Job Summary:
We are looking for a sharp and experienced Inventory Control supervisor to lead inventory integrity and loss prevention efforts across our retail and quick service network. This role plays a key part in minimizing shrink, improving inventory accuracy, and driving audit compliance through effective controls, reporting, and team collaboration.
- Oversee inventory control processes across stores and distribution centers with a primary focus on shrink reduction and loss prevention.
- Lead regular and ad hoc inventory audits, including cycle counts, physical stocktakes, and targeted investigations.
- Analyze inventory variances and shrink trends, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Loss Prevention, Store Operations, and Finance teams to maintain strong internal controls.
- Develop and enforce inventory policies, SOPs, and store-level procedures to prevent stock loss.
- Manage exception reporting and analytics to flag suspicious activity, fraud, or compliance breaches.
- Provide training and guidance to store teams on proper inventory handling, security protocols, and audit readiness.
- Support incident investigations, theft reporting, and recoveries in coordination with the Loss Prevention team.
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards on inventory performance, audit findings, and KPIs for senior leadership.
- Assist with the rollout of new systems and tools aimed at improving inventory tracking and visibility.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Pursuing CPA, ACCA, or CIA certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of internal auditing, financial controls, or compliance experience, preferably in retail, restaurant, or FMCG industries.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and audit methodologies.
- Experience with inventory auditing, stock management, and fraud prevention.
- Proficiency in audit software, accounting systems (e.g., SMS, Business Central), and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, based at the company’s corporate office with frequent site visits to store and grocery locations required.
- Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and problem-solving skills.
- Occasional extended hours during month-end closings, stock count periods, audits, and reporting periods.
