Job Title: IT Administrator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Administrator to manage and support our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Active Directory, group policies, Microsoft 365 administration, firewall management and configuration, vendor management, and leading IT projects. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of our IT systems while providing exceptional technical support to end users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Active Directory Administration (5%):
    • Manage and maintain Active Directory environments, including user accounts, security groups, and permissions.
    • Implement and enforce group policies to ensure compliance and streamline IT operations.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration (20%):
    • Configure and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
    • Manage and secure Entra ID to oversee identity and access management.
    • Administer and deploy Microsoft Intune for device management, mobile application control, and endpoint security.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot email and collaboration systems to ensure uptime and performance.
  • Firewall Management and Configuration (10%):
    • Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls to ensure network security and optimize performance.
    • Conduct regular security audits and implement measures to mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
  • IT Systems Maintenance (15%):
    • Maintain and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and other networked devices.
    • Perform software updates, patches, and backups to ensure system integrity and availability.
  • IT Project Management (30%):
    • Lead and manage small to medium-scale IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors to plan, execute, and monitor project milestones.
  • Vendor Management (10%):
    • Manage relationships with IT vendors to ensure quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
    • Evaluate, select, and negotiate contracts with vendors for hardware, software, and IT services.
  • Technical Support (10%):
    • Provide timely and effective technical support to staff members for hardware and software issues.
    • Train users on new technologies and promote best practices for IT usage.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Active Directory management, group policies, and domain administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, including Entra ID and Intune.
  • M365 Certification would be considered an asset
  • Solid understanding of firewall configuration and network security principles.
  • Experience in leading and managing IT projects.
  • Vendor management experience, including contract negotiations and vendor evaluations.
  • Knowledge of server and workstation maintenance, including Windows Server and desktop operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
