JOB TITLE: Senior Account Executive

REPORTS TO: Sales and Marketing Manager

DEPARTMENT: Sales
 
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Account Executive is responsible for growing Company revenue by effectively managing existing customer accounts and actively seeking out new customers to purchase company products and/or services.
 
CORE COMPETENCIES
Existing Customers
  • Client Relations: you are expected to meet with Customers regularly. This is to maintain relationships in order to boost sales, be aware of in-store promotions and keep their statement in check.
  • Increase existing sales volumes and promote new SKUs or items that they are not purchasing at present.
  • Provide monthly statements so they can keep their arrears manageable and avoid being system blocked
  • Receive and treat with any complaints: from service delivery to product or personnel issues
  • Share price listings as they become available
  • Liaise with Receiving & Distribution to ensure the 48-hour delivery schedule is being maintained
New Business/Customers
  • Actively seek out new and potential Customers to increase Company reach and Customer base
  • Actively market Company products and new SKUs to existing Customers as well as all new and potential Customers
  • Via the proper channels, promote and market the Company’s products within your geographical location (signage, promotional materials, in-store promotions, advertising spaces, etc)
Reporting Relationships
  • Keep open and consistent communication with the Brand Ambassadors servicing your Customers: keeping a close eye on stock levels as well as updates on in-store promotions and/or specials and important dates to their organization
  • Receive suggested orders from the BA’s at your Customer stores
  • Update your Manager and Directors on progress, ideas and initiatives you think can help with growing the business
Product
  • Support the roll out of all new SKUs from the Company to your Customers – trying to get as much business as possible
Duty
  • Enter your sales orders via the Company’s ERP system (Odoo)
  • Prepare for your weekly meeting with the AR Officer
  • Track Customer communication related to payments and report to the Directors where applicable (if a Customer needs time to pay or wants to increase their limits)
  • Performs other related duties which may be assigned from time to time
 
Qualification and Experience
  • First degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field from a recognized university
  • 5-7 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other applications
