Description
Drive the company’s Export business by opening new markets and territories while proactively managing existing customer to achieve specified financial targets. The job holder will Identify and capture all business opportunities in Caribbean & International territories by negotiating with distributors ensuring that existing customers are retained and the Company’s position remains profitable. He/she will monitor and ensure timely coordination and execution of a high volume of export container shipments.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Opportunities
- Identify and develops new market opportunities for the Export of the company’s brands.
- Co-ordinates, plans and implements all aspects of marketing plans for the development of assigned existing Export Markets.
- Develop and implement strategies for new markets, with the intention of growing said market to a profitability level.
- Close new business opportunities, develop and negotiate contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Adopt a hands-on approach in monitoring the implementation and execution of strategic plans by visiting the markets and reporting on progress.
- Introduce RHS brands in the Export Market and by extension participate in local market activities to give products visibility and increase overall market share.
- Forecast Long and Short-range market potential.
- Develop and Implement Business Models so as to create new ventures.
- Serve as lead facilitator both internally and externally for assigned projects.
- Formulate market strategies through market/consumer research and analysis of distribution channels.
- Prepares monthly reports outlining progress in assigned areas of development.
- Prepare monthly export reports for export markets under jurisdiction.
Client Relations
- Maintain a relationship with current and new distributors and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.
- Build and maintain high level relationships with current and prospective distributors.
- Continuously follow up with existing distributors and enhance existing distributors relationships to grow business.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures the compliance of HSSE standards and practices and applicable legislation in the execution of duties.
- Attends departmental and company meetings when required.
- Participates in annual and periodic stock counts.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- BSc/BA in Business Administration or Marketing
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience.
- Industry experience strongly desired.
- Proven track record of success in similar role.
- Proficiency with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
