VACANCY FOR FOREIGN AND LOCAL PROCUREMENT/LOGISTICS OFFICER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Preparation, Planning and Coordination: Prepare, Plan and coordinate the execution of foreign and local orders, movement of goods, including transportation from foreign and local suppliers to our warehousing facility.
• Transportation: Co-ordinate with transportation providers, negotiate shipping rates, and ensure timely delivery.
• Communication: Liaise with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving issues that may arise in the supply chain in an efficient and effective manner.
• Effective tracking of orders from the stage of order to shipment to ensure there are no delays.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum of 5-10 years working experience in handling local and foreign procurement, including the logistics aspect involving the movement of goods.
• Post-secondary education (e.g. college diploma in a business field such as economics, logistics, supply chain management etc.)
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work within a fast paced environment.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
