Pollonais, Blanc, de la Bastide & Jacelon is seeking an experienced Instructing Attorney-at-Law to join our Dispute Resolution team at our Port of Spain Office for civil litigation matters. The successful candidate must be able to exercise sound legal judgment, engage directly with clients and stakeholders, and provide effective and timely support on complex and high-value matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct complex legal research and analyse legislation, case law, evidence and procedural requirements.

• Draft, review and settle pleadings, affidavits, submissions, applications, opinions, correspondence and other complex legal documents.

• Appear at hearings for interlocutory applications, case management conferences, and instruct Counsel at trials and other Court proceedings.

• Maintain high standards of confidentiality, professional conduct, accuracy and client service.

Requirements

• Attorney-at-Law admitted to practise in Trinidad and Tobago and in good professional standing.

• Six (6) to eight (8) years' post-qualification experience, with substantial experience practising in civil litigation.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and professional stakeholders.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a consistently high standard of work.

• High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
