BARTENDER

Position Summary

As a Bartender at Allied Hotels Limited trading as Radisson Hotel Trinidad, you will be responsible for creating exceptional beverage experiences while providing warm, professional, and engaging service to our guests. Your bartending and mixology skills, knowledge of beverages, and commitment to customer service will contribute to an enjoyable guest experience and the hotel's reputation for outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

•                Prepare and serve a wide variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks.

•                Engage with guests, take orders, provide recommendations, and create a personalized service experience.

•                Mix, garnish, and present beverages in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.

•                Prepare and maintain garnishes, syrups, mixers, and other cocktail ingredients.

•                Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and guest bills.

•                Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, utensils, and bar equipment.

•                Ensure alcoholic beverages are served responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and hotel policies.

•                Check identification where required and adhere to all hotel procedures relating to the service of alcoholic beverages.

•                Collaborate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, supervisors, and management to ensure smooth and efficient service.

•                Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and courteous manner.

•                Monitor inventory levels of beverages, mixers, garnishes, and other bar supplies and report replenishment requirements.

•                Assist in maintaining a welcoming, vibrant, and professional atmosphere within the bar and surrounding service areas.

•                Comply with all health, safety, sanitation, and food-handling standards.

•                Adapt to changing guest volumes and prioritize tasks to maintain efficient service during busy periods.

•                Perform other duties related to the position as assigned by management.

Requirements

•                Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a Bartender, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.

•                Certificate or Diploma in Bartending, Mixology, or a related field would be an asset.

•                Extensive knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and mixology techniques.

•                Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

•                Excellent customer service skills and a positive, professional attitude.

•                Ability to work efficiently and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.

•                Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

•                Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing beverages and processing payments.

•                Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and applicable regulations.

•                Familiarity with menu offerings and the ability to make appropriate beverage recommendations.

•                Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with hotel standards.

•                Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and safely handle trays, glassware, and beverages.

•                Willingness and ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
