A leading Collective Management Organisation (CMO) in Trinidad and Tobago invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER (COO).
Position Overview
The COO will lead and manage the operational functions of the organisation across Licensing & Revenue, Distribution & Information Technology, Member Relations & Communications, and Finance & Administration. The successful candidate will drive operational efficiency, stakeholder service, revenue growth, and support the strategic directives of the Board and CEO.

Key Responsibilities
The COO will:
  • Oversee and coordinate all operational departments for optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and performance metrics.
  • Strengthen revenue collection, licensing operations, and royalty distribution.
  • Drive process improvement, digital transformation, and service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and governance requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder and member relationships.
  • Supervise managers and develop high-performing teams.
  • Prepare operational reports and insights for the CEO and Board.
  • Represent the organisation at internal, national, and regional forums.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance, Law, IT, or related field.
  • Master’s Degree (MBA or currently pursuing) will be a strong asset.
  • Minimum 10 years’ senior management or executive experience in operations, business development, licensing, media, entertainment, or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership in process improvement and team development.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of copyright, licensing, or the creative industries will be an advantage.
