Construction company in East Trinidad is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who is: 

• Detail-oriented and organized 

• Reliable and punctual 

• Able to work independently and meet deadlines 

• Comfortable working both in the office and on site 

• Willing to learn and develop professionally 

• Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel 

• Passionate about construction, design and technical drafting 

REQUIREMENTS 

• Must be proficient in Autodesk Revit 

• Strong knowledge of architectural and construction drawings 

• Knowledge of AutoCAD would be an asset 

• Ability to prepare accurate and detailed technical drawings 

• Knowledge of the DevelopTT submission process would be an asset 

• Good understanding of building construction and construction detailing 

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy 

• Good written and verbal communication skills 

• Minimum passes in Mathematics and English Language 

• Must have a reliable/working vehicle for site visits 

Experience is not required; however, previous experience in construction, architecture, engineering or drafting will be considered an asset. 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Prepare architectural, structural and plumbing drawings 

• Develop and update drawings using Autodesk Revit 

• Conduct on-site assessments and revision of drawings 

• Prepare and manage DevelopTT submissions 

• Revise drawings based on site conditions, client requirements and regulatory feedback 

• Project costing and estimates 

• Coordinate drawings with construction requirements and site teams
