Distribution Manager - OECS: Antigua, St. Kitts, St. Vincent and Grenada

The Distribution Manager OECS, has geographic responsibility of the assigned markets, with responsibility for managing the overall commercial performance and development of each territory. This includes overseeing the storage, inventory, transportation, and delivery of products to ensure goods move safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively from warehouses to customers or retail outlets. The incumbent will act as the commercial owner for their assigned geographic cluster, while being able to toggle effectively between markets based on business priorities and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute effective national distribution plans to hit annual revenue targets brand, volume, merchandizing and promotional objectives for each outlet through the most effective and efficient utilization of time and materials to meet sales objectives.

• Recruit, train, and guide distributors and sales representatives across multiple branches to ensure the successful execution of distribution strategies, achievement of regional targets, and effective management of the assigned territory.

• Monitor performance metrics, track sales trends, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasts.

• Build productive relationships with major accounts and negotiate large, high-value client contracts.

• Ownership of sales performance, volume, revenue and key commercial KPIs across the assigned markets, including identifying gaps and developing corrective actions.

• Identifying opportunities to grow the business, expand distribution, develop new channels/customers and strengthen our brand presence within each territory.

• Ensure the implementation of training and development initiatives for distributor representatives and merchandisers to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.

• Manage AR to monitor collections, resolve account issues, returns and delinquent customers’ accounts

Technical and behavioural skills required:

• Ability to use historical data, market trends, and seasonal variables to build highly accurate quarterly and annual revenue forecasts.

• CRM Governance: Mastery of enterprise platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 to track national pipelines and audit regional data entry

• P&L (Profit & Loss) Management: Ability to read corporate financial statements, manage a multi-region operational budget, and control travel and entertainment (T&E) expenses.

• Devotes significant time to coaching and shadowing sales managers – show one, do one, teach one.

• Actively identifies high-potential sales representatives, distributor networks and builds career pathways for them.

Qualifications and Experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field

• MBA is an asset

• 8 years of proven experience in sales leadership, managing large distributed teams.

• Strong negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills;

• Willingness and readiness to travel frequently domestically for trade negotiation, client meetings and industry events.

• Strong leadership, data analysis, problem-solving, and proficiency in supply chain IT systems - CRM software and MS Office.
