POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for leading and supporting the E&I Team in planning and executing all electrical, instrumentation and other related projects in the Plant.


RESPONSIBILITES

  1. Lead the Team’s reliability, both short and long term.
  2. Support the Maintenance Team on a daily basis, which includes but not limited to, assisting with troubleshooting for major breakdowns and advising on short-term & medium-term actions to support machine reliability.
  3. Apply failure mode analysis to all E&I equipment and components.
  4. Support the Planner in preparing work orders, requisitions & procedures; prioritize jobs based on reliability data, A3, ACLs and WO listing. 
  5. Participate in the planning of upcoming shutdowns.
  6. Support the achievement of the department’s KPIs - completion of A3s, OT reports and schedule compliance. 
  7. Attend power suite meetings and prepare and execute repairs accordingly.
  8. Provide support and ensure all safety systems, power systems and DCS systems are well maintained and operational. 
  9. Supervise the Maintenance Technicians during weekend and holiday duty (duty cycle).
  10. Inform the Supervisor / Superintendent on outstanding issues and pending risks. 
  11. Liaise with the Purchasing Department to follow-up on critical spare and outstanding parts orders.
  12. Actively participate in activities to build team spirit at every level of the organization. 
  13. Adhere to, actively promote and ensure compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety Policies.
  14. Report any unsafe acts immediately to your Direct Supervisor; operate in a safe manner, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required. 
  15. Execute all relevant responsibilities as outlined in the Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities Matrix (MT-GM-004) to ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  16. Perform any other related duties that may be assigned.


EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or any other related discipline from a recognized institution.


EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting (control circuits, PID loops, pneumatics systems, PLC) and making recommendations.
